A few snaps taken at the Morecambe running day on Sunday 25th May 14 :

RN7824 : Leyland Cheetah / Brush : Preserved in Ribble livery, quite used to photographing Plaxton bodied Cheetahs but never a 1936 build Leyland Cheetah, this is an immaculate vehicle and was seen on Morecambe Promenade on 25th May 14

528CTF : Leyland PD2 / Wetmann : Preserved as Fishwick 5, I suspect this 1957 built vehicle may have been a rarity in Morecambe when new in 1957 but on recent running days I've somehow managed to miss getting a ride on it even though its a regular, its seen here waving 'cheerio' yet again as it departs Morecambe for Heysham on 25th May 14

RCK920 : Leyland Titan / MCW : Preserved as Ribble 1775 lets out some clag as it sets off for home after arriving at Moreambe from Carnforth on its last run of the day on 25th May 14

SMK716F : AEC Routemaster / Park Royal : Preserved as Leaside Buses RML2716 at Carnforth 25th May 14

HCK204G : Leyland Panther / MCW : Preserved as Preston Corporation 204, a real thrash monster and worth the trip in its own right ! Seen here frightening the residents of Carnforth on 25th May 14

BYW432V : Leyland National : Preserved and carrying the now departed livery of Pennine of Skipton, seen here adding a nice touch of colour to the display on Morecambe promenade on 25th May 14

18156 : PX04DTV : Transbus Trident / ALX400 of Stagecoach South Lancashire and Merseyside , this Chorley based machine is in  Ribble livery -not my favourite livery of the Ribble era it has to be said -however 10/10 to Stagecoach Management for painting this bus up to recognise the 60th year of the Ribble Enthusiasts Club (well worth joining by the way) and is seen here on display on Morecambe promenade on 25th May 14

Arriva North West : 4179 : LF02PKJ : DAF / Plaxton President is seen here in its life outside London in Bolton on 30th May 14 about to operate local route 537.

Cumfybus (Southport) : YJ12GXN : Optare Solo Hybrid, seen here in Bolton on 30th May 14 whilst operating the Metroshuttle free service 500 which is usually in the hands of Optare Versa Hybrids.

Parks of Hamilton : HSK659 : Volvo B9R / Plaxton Elite and Selwyns (Runcorn) FJ61EWZ : Volvo B9R / Caetano Levante show that you have to keep an eye more on the back rather than the front of the National Express coaches as the adverts and liveries do change, HSK659 is carrying a advert stating 'Love the journey.......because our professional drivers will load your luggage' (bet that went down well at the local depots!) whereas FJ61EWS shows off a patriotic wrap around Union jack, both snapped in Manchester on 26th May 14

Preserved : C100UBC Dennis Dominator / East Lancs is preserved and carries a Leicester Citybus livery, it was noted in a yard in Blackpool on 28th May 14.

First Manchester : 69139 : MX06VOP : Volvo B7RLE / Wright Eclipse Urban, I never tire of this livery on this vehicle so any excuse for a snap is gladly taken! This time it was waiting for a 'Rivvy Rider' branded Volvo B7RLE to turn up on the 575 in Bolton on 30th May 14 but this rolled on to stand instead!

First Manchester : 69172 : MV06CZJ : Volvo B7RLE / Wright Eclipse Urban,  not the best snap I'll grant you but even a full on sun shot would still require you to look quite hard to see the branding for the 'Rivvy Rider' 575 route which I suspect is a response to Arriva muscling in on the same route. It carries Rivvy Rider in gold along with a gold cheatline on the side and has 'Route 575 Rivvy Rider' in gold in the back window seen here in Bolton on 30th May 14.

Shearings : 637 : BT63GCX : Setra S416GT-HD , I'm still not exactly seeing these 63/14 plates of Shearings by the bucket full so its still a bit of a novelty factor when a chance of snap presents itself and this one was sat in a decent position at Blackpool on 26th May 14.

Stagecoach Manchester : 19130 : VX07CYV : Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 is a recent arrival from Gloucester is seen here arriving in Manchester on 26th May on local route 203.
